Inland Empire 4th of July 2022

4th of July in the IE is complicated. We love fireworks and BBQs but we live in a matchbox where much of the valley prohibits fireworks (with good reason) and for many who have suffered in the past it can be a particularly stressful holiday. If you live in an area that prohibits fireworks, there is no reason to be sad this 4th of July or to break the law. There are several free or low-cost Inland Empire 4th of July 2022 events to keep everyone entertained! If you’re looking for a low-key, really low-cost celebration, you can always watch the fireworks from afar. Many of the events have firework displays that can be seen from miles away. Make sure to bring some snacks and drinks to enjoy while you watch!

Live Events for 4th of July

If you’re looking to get up close and personal with the action, the Inland Empire has several events planned for the holiday, including fireworks displays. Here are just five of the events you can choose from:

Redlands 4th of July Celebration

Free activities at Sylvan Park starting at 9AM and Firework show ($15) at Moore Middle School.

Riverside City Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day with the City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department! This free event includes a spectacular array of fireworks that will begin at 9 p.m. at two separate locations: La Sierra Park and Ryan Bonaminio Park.

La Sierra Park, at 5215 La Sierra Ave., also will host a car show that will begin at noon and a live performance by the No Limit Band from 6 to 8 p.m. Food vendors will also be on-site selling a variety of treats.

Ryan Bonaminio Park, at 5000 Tequesquite Ave. (near basketball courts), will give residents the opportunity to enjoy a live DJ from 5 to 9 p.m. along with food vendors to fulfill your 4^th of July food cravings. Families are encouraged to bring out their picnic blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the evening.

4th of July Fireworks Spectacular Rancho Cucamonga

The City of Rancho Cucamonga invites you to come to the 2022 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. Monday, July 4th at LoanMart Field at the Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter for a fun-filled evening of live entertainment followed by a fireworks display at 9:00 p.m., sharp. Single-seat tickets are available for purchase for $15, table of 4 for $125 (online fees apply).

City of Rialto 4th of July Celebration

The City of Rialto 4th of July Celebration will be held on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Jerry Eaves Park. The event will have many activities and games to participate in, some activities require the purchase of a wristband and other activities are completely free. The event will have various vendors including food. The Smooth Groove Band will be playing during the event, and the evening will end with a fireworks show to end our celebration. $25 Pre-Sale Ticket are available for purchase. The ticket includes ONE RESERVED PARKING PASS and 5 wristbands. Additional wristbands can be purchased at $5 each.

5. Highland Community Fireworks Celebration: Immanuel Baptist Church of Highland, Gates will open at 6:00 pm. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, seating will be available on and around the ballfields! There will be food vendors, music, and fun activities for the whole family. Alcohol, dogs, fireworks, and smoking of any kind will not be allowed on the premises, thank you.

Safety Tips for 4th of July

No matter how or where you choose to celebrate, the most important thing is to stay safe. Here are some tips to help you have a fun and safe holiday:

• Never use fireworks while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and never point them in any direction but up
• Obey all local laws regarding the use of fireworks. Do not use banned out-of-state fireworks as these commonly cause injury or damage to property
• Only light fireworks on a smooth, level surface away from houses, dry leaves, and flammable materials.
• Never try to relight or pick up fireworks that have not fully functioned.
• Children should never play with or ignite fireworks. Parents should always closely supervise teens if they are using fireworks.
• Keep a hose or fire extinguisher handy in case of fires. When finished soak used fireworks in a bucket of water for several hours before disposing of them.
• Keep pets indoors or secure as fireworks often frighten animals and they break out of yards.
